OUR METHODOLOGY
We use experiential techniques that facilitate participation and self-organization and enable the development of shared meaning and the emergence of new solutions, via the collection and process of raw narrative material.
-
The methodology we follow is based on some simple principles:
- Each case is different, so through specialized techniques we let our clients’ people to lead us to the right choices, compatible to their own demands and their deeper characteristics.
- We provide our services more like facilitators, working along with our clients, rather than ordinary consultants, deciding on behalf of them, even where we dispose proven expertise.
- We aim to make the results of our work understood and acceptable by the organizations we work with, so they could finally be incorporated in their practice.
- Having adopted the open source philosophy, we dispose the techniques and tools we develop and evolve within the communities we participate.
- Starting with an initial circle of interviews and conversation with the leading team of the organization, we agree the general frame, direction and goals of the project.
- We collect stories and other unstructured material from members of the organization or community, which will help discover the real and total picture of the system
- Through a series of experiential workshops the participants process, interpret, and re-synthesize their own material, penetrating the hard shell of their stereotypes and discovering their common archetypes that energize them.
- After the emerged clues become conscious, within another workshop the protagonists create their shared vision, assess their maturity for change, design their own solution, and bind themselves for its application.
- During the application phase (usually of 2-4 months), the contextual material created before will be available to the whole system, also used as source for insights.
- Finally, every 4-6 months, we can similarly evaluate the results of the initial set targets and perhaps re-specify the route.
A typical work case includes the following stages:
