KNOWHOW AND TECHNOLOGY
Our methodological tools are supported by international networks of excellence and innovation and are dealing successfully worldwide with complex problems and issues related to the human perception and behavior.
In order to carry out successfully the undertaken projects, we use specialized know-how and technology, originally developed by international networks of excellence and innovation. They are internationally applied with particular success in projects of organizational and social complexity, ordered by governments, multi-national forms and communities. As they afford the ability of adaptation to the specific demands of each particular case and being very user friendly, they have been recognized as state-of-the-art products.
In parallel we develop and test new methods and techniques, along with collaborating European and international networks within the frame of research programs. We also use worldwide awarded methodologies, with the collaboration of specialized and certified external collaborators.
Our methodological tools are subsumed to a generic model we have created (TetraSynthesis) aiming to collect, adapt, apply, and exploit the collective experience and knowledge within a learning organization. This open-philosophy model exploits different methodologies and tools, according the special characteristics and needs of each case.
We present below tabulated the models, tools and systems, methodologies, and techniques we use in our work: -
Semantic Models
- Cynefin, a contextual model enabling sense making and decision support on various cases and problems
- Tetrahedron, a generic conceptual model that enables the design of secondary models for sustainable planning, based on the critical relations among the project stakeholders and factors.

Narrative Knowledge
- Το
Cognitive Edge Network, initially started as Cynefin Centre by ΙΒΜ,
is an international collaboration network and one of the most important
sense making and knowledge management centers nowadays. TETRAS as a member,
has access to the whole of its knowhow and technology.
Based on the Cynefin model, Cognitive Edge has developed a wide collection of innovative methods that make use of voluntary narrative within an organization and enable for complex and intractable problems: - Narrative collection and collective patterns emergence
- Creation of shared meaning and consensus building
- Story construction and organizational storytelling
- Organizational archetypes extraction
- Cultural differences bridging
- Organizational knowledge capturing and sharing
- Creation of contextual scenarios
- Cognitive Edge has also developed Sense Maker Suite, advanced software (narrative data base) that permits narrative management along with their archetypes within a system, facilitating self-indexed keys.
-
Archetypes and transformation
- Hero’s Journey, a personal change model through the archetypal heroic journey, introduced by Joseph Campbell.
- Organizational Team Culture Indicator, a well tested tool for archetypal analysis of individuals, groups, and organizations, developed by Carol Pearson.
- Archetypal Change Journey, a methodology for organizational change facilitation that uses mythological patterns, created R. Chan Allen.
- U-Process, an innovative methodology for discovering the blind spots and deep renewal of personal mental patterns, developed by Otto Scharmer (SoL, MIT).
- Alchemical transformation, the contemporary version of an ancient method to shift personal view and consciousness, aided by the use of symbols
-
Dialogue and Collectivity
- Appreciative Inquiry, an intentional change methodology based on a cooperative enquiry of a system’s positive elements and forces (David Cooperrider)
- Open Space Technology, a method for open and self-organized meetings, dealing with complex, uncertain, and urgent situations (Harrison Owen)
- World Café, a dialogue method for creating meaning, sharing world views, and developing the context for collective action (Juanita Brown).
- We also use various techniques and role plays, aiming to conflict transformation, utilization of differences, creativity expression, team spirit building, and non verbal communication.
